Dr. Reimi Yoshigata gave a presentation on vaginal flora and the risk of gynecological diseases at the Japan Society of General Health Examination.

Dr. Yoshigata Reimi, special advisor to Midtown Clinic Medical Corporation (Chief of Women's Medical Research) and obstetrician-gynecologist, gave a lecture titled "A paradigm shift in women's health care from the perspective of vaginal flora - Looking ahead to new prospects for reducing the risk of cervical cancer" at the lunch seminar of the 2022th Conference of the Japan Society of General Health Checkups held on Saturday, January 1, 29.

The presentation will explain the relationship between vaginal flora and the risk of gynecological diseases, as well as the current situation in Japan regarding preventive measures for cervical cancer and screening methods. It will also introduce the results of a study conducted by Dr. Yoshigata's group last year titled "Generational Vaginal Microbiome Analysis."※ 1They published a paper titled "A study on the effectiveness of an intervention trial of self-care for intimate areas to prevent gynecological diseases and improve symptoms."
