About online medical consultations

What is online medical consultation?

Online medical consultations are conducted in real time via video chat over the internet. At our clinic, doctors and patients use smartphones or tablets to conduct online consultations.

What are the benefits of online medical consultation?

You can receive medical treatment online without having to visit the clinic.
In addition, there is no waiting time at the hospital for reception or payment, and no transportation costs or travel time to the hospital.

What to prepare before an online consultation?

For online consultations, you will need a mobile device that can communicate online, such as a smartphone (using FaceTime).

*We will send a text message to the patient's mobile phone when they pay.
Patients who do not have the environment to receive short messages are asked to refrain from using online medical consultations.

Even if the patient does not have a smartphone, they can use one if a family member has one.

Does online medical consultation cover any illness as long as there are symptoms?

Online medical consultations are primarily intended for general internal medicine consultations, such as regular prescriptions.
(Those under 16 years old cannot receive treatment)

*As of April 2020, 4, as a result of the government's temporary measures to combat the new coronavirus, people with cold symptoms have also been included as eligible recipients.

In the case of online medical consultation, will outpatient visits (visits to the hospital) become unnecessary?

According to guidelines from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, outpatient visits (face-to-face consultations with a doctor) are still required even with online medical consultations.
The timing of face-to-face consultation will be at the discretion of your doctor, but as a general rule, after one online consultation, a face-to-face consultation will be required.

With online consultations alone, the information that can be obtained is limited to visual and auditory senses, which is insufficient for us to grasp the patient's condition in detail, so we will check the patient's condition by having regular face-to-face consultations.

Can I receive online medical treatment for my first visit?

In principle, this is only available to returning patients, but please feel free to contact us.
