There are many diseases and infectious diseases overseas that do not exist in Japan.
To ensure your peace of mind, please take advantage of the various vaccinations available as part of your preparations before traveling or going on a business trip.
Major infectious diseases overseas
Rabies
Symptoms include temporary confusion, high fever, and generalized convulsions, and the mortality rate is nearly 100%.
Malaria
Symptoms include high fever, headache, and vomiting. If the symptoms worsen, kidney and brain damage may occur, leading to loss of consciousness.
Typhoid fever
You will suffer from high fever, severe diarrhea and abdominal pain.
If you are traveling to the following popular travel destinations, we recommend that you get vaccinated against typhoid fever, which can be transmitted through local food and water.
A single vaccination given two weeks before travel is expected to be effective, and immunity can be expected to last for two to three years.
