Information on PCR Testing for the Novel Coronavirus (Saliva-Based)

At Midtown Clinic, we are conducting PCR tests for the new coronavirus [using saliva].
*This applies to asymptomatic people.
* It is a complete reservation system.

◆ Test subject

Those who are "asymptomatic" and fall under any of the following categories:

- If you are planning to travel overseas or domestically for a business trip and require a certificate of PCR test results
・If you have plans to meet with someone at high risk of infection (high possibility of developing severe symptoms) and need to be confirmed as having COVID-19

◆Inspection costs

・Consultation fee: 33,000 yen (tax included) Includes one "Result Certificate" from our clinic
*If separate travel certificates etc. are required, each will cost 1 yen (tax included).

What is PCR testing?

A test that checks whether the person has the novel coronavirus gene can reveal the "current infection status."

*Even if the test results at our clinic are negative (as with PCR tests), there may be a certain percentage of false negatives (where the test comes out negative even though the person is infected).
If you suspect you may have been infected with the new coronavirus, please consult your local public health center.

◆About the inspection

The test will be conducted using the collected saliva.
In order to increase the accuracy of the test, please refrain from gargling, eating, drinking, or brushing your teeth immediately before collecting your saliva sample (you can refrain from doing so one hour before the test).
・A reservation is required for this test.
Testing reservations: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 2:5 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. *Excluding public holidays

Notification of test results

Two to three days after the test, you will be given the test results and a result certificate (in our clinic's format) either when you visit the clinic or by mail.
