Regarding the new medical questionnaire and supplementary answers
the purpose
During 2020, our clinic will be significantly revising its medical questionnaire so that AI predictions for many diseases, including diabetes, will become possible in the future.
In order to cover all the elements necessary for predicting lifestyle-related diseases, the number of questions will increase,Some items can be omitted from next year by entering information online, improving convenience.
(At present, we will not use all of the items, but we encourage you to fill out the optional items as they may be applicable to lifestyle improvement programs in the future. We also hope that filling out the items will serve as an opportunity to reexamine your own lifestyle habits.)
With this revision, personalized prediction data for your lifestyle-related diseases will be reflected in your health checkup report. We will continue to strive to provide the best solutions incorporating the best practices so that we can provide better services based on the data from your ongoing health checkups.
back ground
Advances in AI have made it possible to efficiently compile huge amounts of data. These results are beginning to be applied in the medical field. Toshiba Corporation has developed an algorithm that can predict the onset of diabetes using AI analysis of health checkup data. By categorizing questions about lifestyle habits, which had not been used very effectively until now, and combining them with blood test data, AI analysis has become possible. We applied the algorithm to our clinic's data and confirmed that it can be used with our clinic's data. At the 2019 Japan Society of Human Health Checkups, we presented a joint research project between our clinic and Toshiba titled "Development of an algorithm to predict the onset of diabetes using AI analysis of health checkup data."
