Reliable inspection system
①High-resolution imaging detects even small lesions
We have multiple 3.0 Tesla MRI machines. Tests take about 20 minutes, leading to early detection of cerebrovascular disease risk.
②A wide range of detailed examinations are carried out in-house
We have specialized staff and testing equipment for blood test, urine test, electrocardiograms, X-rays, ultrasound tests, and more, to investigate the cause of symptoms in a comprehensive manner.
③General blood test results will be given to you on the same day.
As we have a clinical laboratory within the hospital, results for general blood tests, excluding tumor markers, can be obtained within about an hour.
Comprehensive support on one floor
We work in cooperation with each department of our clinic and external medical institutions to provide appropriate treatment and support as a team. On the same floor, you will also find Tokyo Midtown Dermatology and Plastic Surgery Noage, Tokyo Midtown Dental Clinic, Healthcare Shop TMMC Plus, and a dispensing pharmacy.
Main responses by symptoms and diseases
Headache
These are the symptoms
Sudden headaches may be a sign of subarachnoid hemorrhage or cerebral artery dissection, which require immediate treatment. There are various types of chronic headaches, such as migraines, cluster headaches, and tension headaches, and they may be a sign of serious illnesses, such as brain tumors and cerebrovascular disorders.
Diagnostic methods
Consultation by a neurosurgeon
Questionnaire on the timing, frequency, and severity of headaches
Prescribing painkillers and preventative medications
Removal of brain aneurysms and brain tumors
Nerve block injections using local anesthetics and nerve disrupting drugs
Dizziness
This is the disease
If the dizziness is transient, it may be due to a disturbance in the sense of balance or autonomic nervous system, but it may also be a sign of a serious brain disease such as cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral infarction, brain tumor, or arterial dissection.
Main symptoms
Dizziness, nausea or vomiting, loss of hearing, or impaired vision
Drug treatment according to the underlying disease (e.g., Meniere's disease, cerebrovascular disorder)
Surgery such as tumor removal and endolymphatic sac decompression
Improve balance through vestibular rehabilitation etc.
Forgetfulness
This is the disease
It can appear as a sign of dementia caused by brain disease or as a precursor to dementia. Early testing and necessary treatment and prevention are important.
Vision may become difficult due to a narrowed area of the carotid artery, or the field of vision may become narrower due to pressure on the optic nerve caused by a brain tumor or cerebral aneurysm. Symptoms may also be caused by cerebral infarction or cerebral hemorrhage.
Main symptoms
Decreased vision, visual field defects, color blindness, eye movement disorders
Suspected cases
Brain tumors, intracranial aneurysms, compression or rupture of aneurysms, optic canal fractures due to head trauma
Diagnostic methods
Vision test, visual field test, fundus test
Head CT or MRI scan
Blood test
Correspondence example
Surgery such as tumor removal and aneurysm clipping
Drug therapy for inflammatory and ischemic diseases
Radiation therapy for brain tumors and aneurysms
Stroke
This is the disease
This is a general term for conditions in which cerebral blood vessels are damaged. It can be roughly divided into three types: cerebral infarction, in which cerebral blood vessels become blocked; intracerebral hemorrhage, in which a small blood vessel in the brain breaks and causes bleeding inside the brain; and subarachnoid hemorrhage, in which a cyst forms in a large blood vessel on the surface of the brain, which then ruptures and causes bleeding. It is said that the risk increases from the age of 40 onwards.
Main symptoms
Unilateral limb weakness or facial paralysis
Slurred speech, unable to speak
Decreased level of consciousness or coma
Severe headache or vomiting
risk factors
Have hypertension, dyslipidemia, or diabetes
Have a history of angina, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, etc.
Increased visceral fat and obesity
Smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and lack of exercise
Diagnostic methods
Head CT, MRI, MRA, blood tests
Correspondence example
Thrombolytic therapy and thrombectomy
Blood pressure management and intracranial pressure control
