What is a "Comprehensive Oral Examination"? Benefits and Features
Do you have any concerns, such as not feeling any pain but having areas that concern you, or wanting to know more about the condition of your teeth? If you want a more precise and comprehensive examination than a regular checkup, our "Comprehensive Oral Examination" can meet those needs.
One of the major features of our comprehensive examinations is that the tests are performed by doctors who specialize in that field. Please consult with your doctor first.
Here's what happens during a comprehensive oral examination:
A comprehensive oral examination is basically a combination of "examination + counseling." Even if the examination shows no abnormalities, we will still provide counseling.
X-ray examination
This is an examination to check the condition of the tooth roots, cavities between the teeth, and the condition of the alveolar bone that supports the teeth.
X-rays will be taken of all upper and lower teeth.
Intraoral photo examination
This is an examination to check the current condition of your teeth. It will also be used during counseling.
The patient's lips are held down with an instrument and multiple photographs of the inside of the mouth are taken.
Periodontal Examination
This is an examination to check the progression of periodontal disease.
Measure the depth of your periodontal pockets and whether or not you have bleeding gums.
Model inspection
This is an examination to check the shape, alignment, and bite of your teeth.
A tray filled with medication will be placed in your mouth and an impression of your teeth will be taken.
Characteristics of counseling
Counselling at our clinic takes approximately one hour and is conducted in a counselling room so that you can talk calmly.
We will propose a treatment plan that meets the patient's needs as much as possible until the patient is satisfied, and we will also present the cost in advance. In some cases, you may be able to review the treatment content and cost and come back for re-counseling at a later date.
We will also provide the analysis results to patients who wish to undergo implant or orthodontic treatment. Please contact us if you wish to receive the results.

Visit: Counseling
Since it takes time to analyze and prepare the documents, we ask that you visit us at least two weeks after the first examination. While reviewing the results of the examination, we will explain your current condition, future treatment plan, fees, etc.
