What is ceramic treatment?
This treatment uses "ceramics," a white material used in pottery and other pottery. Ceramics have many advantages over the plastics and metals used in health insurance treatments.
This treatment can address concerns such as wanting to whiten existing silver fillings, wanting metal-free treatment that is gentle on the body, and wanting to clean teeth that cannot be whitened with whitening.
Although this is a medical treatment not covered by health insurance, our doctors will do their best to accommodate the patient's wishes and aim to provide treatment that leaves them healthy in mind and body, and satisfied with their appearance.
Recommended for those with the following symptoms
Characteristics and Strengths of Ceramics
In treatments covered by health insurance, plastic or metal caps are used, but in treatments that take into consideration aesthetics and gentleness to the body, ceramic is the most commonly used material.
- The transparent finish is similar to natural teeth.
- Stain-resistant and discoloration-resistant
- Hard and durable, with little wear
- No pigmentation on the gums
- The boundary with the gums is difficult to distinguish
- Good compatibility and low allergy risk
Types of ceramic treatment
Ceramic Crown
When a large part of an original tooth is removed for cavity treatment, ceramic is used as a cap (crown). Compared to resin materials (dental plastic), plaque is less likely to adhere to them, and the texture and color are closer to natural teeth, making them more aesthetically pleasing.
Ceramics used in our clinic
Our clinic uses advanced zirconia from a major dental material manufacturer. Conventional ceramics are not very strong and cannot be used in places where strong forces are applied, such as back teeth. However, zirconia is strong enough to be used as an artificial diamond, and is a dental material that overcomes the weaknesses of conventional ceramics.
